What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make a site work at all: to keep you signed in, or to remember what is in your basket. Others are used to count visitors or to measure advertising.
The same rules apply to similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tracking scripts, and where we say "cookies" below we mean all of them.
The rule we follow
We only set cookies that are strictly necessary for the service you have asked for without asking you first. Everything else, analytics and advertising, loads only if you choose "Accept". Nothing non-essential runs before you decide.
You can say no as easily as you can say yes. There is no penalty for saying no: the site works the same either way.
Your choices
Use the Cookie settings link in our footer at any time to change your mind, turn categories on or off, or withdraw consent entirely.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site working: you will not be able to stay signed in or complete a purchase.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no agreed standard for them.
Which site you are on
ReturnMePlz runs across three places, and they behave differently. The Where column below tells you which is which.

Our contact form sets nothing on your device. Sending us a message through returnmeplz.com/contact stores no cookie and nothing in your browser. What happens to the message itself is in section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your IP address. It uses it momentarily to work out an approximate location and then discards it. We have turned off sharing with Google for advertising and product-improvement purposes. Google's own information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies

Advertising and measurement, only with your consent
Lets us see whether our ads led to a purchase, and lets us show ads to people who have visited us.

Cookies on the recovery page
The recovery page a finder lands on after scanning a tag is deliberately kept as light as we can make it. It sets only the strictly necessary cookies listed above. No analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers run on it.
Third parties
Where a third party sets a cookie through our site, they use it for their own purposes as well as ours, and their own policies apply. We have linked those above. We do not control what they do with information they collect once you have consented, and we do not receive your personal information back from them.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie we will update this page and, where the change involves a new non-essential cookie, ask for your consent again.
