At the heart of the ReturnMePlz platform is the Smart Recovery System (SRS). ReturnMePlz’s SRS enables tag owners to connect with tag finders in a measured and controlled way.
ReturnMePlz hosts the conversation and safeguards the communication between both parties. The platform provides anonymous peer-to-peer communication designed around lost property recovery.
Many other platforms simply let you share your phone number or WhatsApp number. We believe your personal details should remain personal to you. Your email address is never shown to the finder, and you only share more if you choose to, for example a postal address when an item is being posted back to you.
The tag owner activates their tag and applies it to an item they would want back if lost. They can offer a reward or choose no reward.
The finder scans or taps the tag and is taken to a finder screen, where they describe what they have found and write a message to the tag owner.
The tag owner receives an email and follows a link into the conversation. There, owner and finder can talk and agree how the item gets home. Either of them can suggest meeting in person or posting the item, and the other agrees before anything moves forward. The finder can also simply leave the item somewhere safe and tell the owner where.
